Dean of Students Rick Arena places a medal around the neck of one of Groton’s World War II veterans, Frank Scimemi, on Wednesday November 9, 2011. Starting a new tradition, GDRHS welcomed retired service men and women to a Veterans Day assembly to honor the time they served our country. Also during the assembly, a restored plaque with the names of all the students from Groton who fought in World War II was presented to the school as a gift.
